Marta O'Brien, architectural historian and long-time NTHS member will introduce us to these two mansions in her illustrated presentation.

The Matthews house is one of the province's finest examples of the picturesque Queen Anne Revival style. The magnificent interior features remarkable craft and some surprising contrasts.

The Christie house features intricate plasterwork and incredibly detailed carved wood elements in every room. Mr. Christie's cookie empire enabled him to have a grand house which his son subsequently enlarged into a stunning mansion.
