Library Service in North Toronto: An Illustrated History

Barbara Myrvold, retired local history services specialist for the Toronto Public Library, will give an illustrated presentation on North Toronto libraries starting with the one which opened in the Town Hall in 1909. Barbara is the author or co-author of a number of publications on Toronto local history, including the Lawrence Park walking tour booklet.

Adaptive Reuse of Toronto's Heritage Buildings

An illustrated presentation by NTHS member Eli Aaron, exploring successful examples of Toronto's heritage buildings adapted for the 21st century. Eli is an urban planner with an interest in heritage preservation and local history. He currently serves as vice-chair of the North York Community Preservation Panel.
